5. Damon Eliza Palermo - Chongquing

I created this 360 degree video for LA-based musician Damon Palermo’s solo record on 1080p, based out of Vancouver. I explored a technique leveraging layered digital processing imperfections to complement the textural and abstract qualities of the music. The 3d was rendered in Houdini (using Mantra) with as much sampling error (grain) as possible, and then in compositing I used the shifting motion vectors calculated from the source to drive the rippling distortions that articulate the forms of the piece. The video premiered on AQNB in 2017.
